lemon of a computer and terrible customer service,
Toshiba sells an awful product. I bought this useless computer less than one year ago. It crashed the first time in February but tech support was able to restart after wiping out all programs and information. Crashed again in April. Be warned that Toshiba charges $25 for you to return bad computer to them. After much terrible support (continually told they would email me the information and couldn’t get that I couldn’t get AT the email) and being shunted to the Phillipines, I finally gave up and sent the computer to them for repair. Finally received it back after a couple of weeks. Said that they had replaced the hard drive. Went to use it, Microsoft Word was, as expected, gone. Went to reinstall the program and the computer kept giving me all kinds of grief. Called for tech support. Explained problem once, was disconnected. Called second time, explained problem, was disconnected. Called third time, told that I needed to give them $50 more as their tech support was only good for 90 days. Yet, it was Toshiba’s faulty drive which had caused the program to be wiped. I would not give Toshiba a dime more of my money. I will never buy any Toshiba product again.

|Good Laptop Windows 7 Actually Works!,
I’m not sure why I have so many problems with Windows 7 on Dell or HP Desktops, but it actually works fine on the Toshiba Satellite.
I bought this for my wife as her Dell laptop running Vista finally blew up.
She has had this laptop since September of 2011 and the only flaw I could see is the battery life can’t compete with my netbook. So make sure you’re near an outlet.
All of her programs work…video stream fine..audio is fine. Webcam is fine.
This was a great purchase in terms of value. My wife just uses her computer to write, blog, watch videos, and surf. She wanted a bigger screen than my netbook.
