I am just asking people to help me, have you or your friends or family have taken any weight loss pills that have worked and that they recommend for other people.

There are no pills that work. The only way to lose weight is to burn 2350 calories more than you consume per pound to lose. A combination of a reduction in calories with emphasis on healthy foods low in fat, sugars, and salt and increased exercise are the only way to lose weight. For instance, instead of just sitting to watch an hour tv show, we have set up the treadmill (bought cheaply off craiglist) so an hour of walking instead of sitting burns about an extra 150 calories.
