The Acer 3G Chrome book is an ingenious new type of laptop designed to work very easily with virtually any online application. It was made to be extremely practical both for everyday use as a regular laptop and as an enhanced business tool that can allow those who have online businesses or who spend a lot of time on the internet as part of their work to quickly and easily go through any type of process that may be required.

Unlike most regular laptops, the Acer 3G Chrome book is based on a new and improved operating system designed by Google. The Google Chrome OS is based on a modified version of Linux that was designed to work perfectly with web applications at a much higher speed than most operating systems.

The general tendency of chrome books is represented by the aim to be simple and powerful aiding tools for users who spend most of their computing time online. Therefore the interface of the operating system simply consists of an enhanced version of the Chrome web browser with an incorporated media player.

Some applications can still run without needing internet support, of course; however, most features of the Acer as well as other types of Chrome books are designed exclusively for online use. This is why some would state that they are not fully practical. The truth however is just the opposite, especially if we observe the tendency of virtually everything to be kept online these days.

More and more people are moving all their activities online – work, gaming, music, videos and movies, or practically anything that a computer can be used for is starting to be available for internet use. The manufacturers of the Acer Chrome book have noticed this movement and have very intelligently constructed their operating system, as well as the laptop itself, in order to promote and aid it.

Because of these facts the Google Chrome OS is a much lighter, easier to use and practical operating system than many others on the market and, most importantly, it is an open source project – so you don’t have to pay a lot of money for a license since it is completely free.

I simply love Chrome books, because, thanks to their OS, they are  more practical, cheaper and much faster than regular laptops, without lacking all the major hardware capabilities that these have. It is no wonder that the Acer 3G Chrome book has become a worldwide success, truly representing a new wave in computer manufacturing.
