@kinmanyuen You are thinking of Dan Aykroyd.

Why is it difficult for him to plug the keyboard into the USB connector? BTW any USB keyboard or mouse works. And he’s crazy, I despise Microsoft for philosophical reasons but their apps are amazing. For example, I like the handwriting recognition. How the hell do you use a tablet without that? I see that other tablets don’t have this. That’s insane! Turn off and uninstall the garbageware and you have a fine computer.

why is the transition so difficult for Ackerman? this is what happens when you play with Apple products all day- they are so dumbed down that you loose any skill to learn new things.

    This is AMD 64-bit architecture.

Final notes on my Demo, more in other posts below:
    - MISC:
    - You can see the pixels on screen, not impressive.
    - Camera took more than 1 min to come up.
    - Internet is OK but could not test Network browsing/discovery.
    - Could not test docking keyboard, HDMI, USB, SD.
    - Could not test boot time, file transfer speeds from network, internet, USB, etc..
    - Could not test battery life, charge times.

    - CONCLUSION:
    - Very, very disapointing.
    - It’s still on the shelf. We’re going to wait for Windows8.

More yet on my Demo in my other posts below:
    - FUNCTIONALITY (part 2):
    - Scrolling in any window is difficult and frustrating, you are still dependant on the scroll bars.

    - PEFORMANCE:
    - Launch time too long for everything we tried (up to 30+ seconds).
    - Switching between opened windows is clunky, like stirring molasses.
    - Visual feedback on actions taken is very lacking.
    - Does not playback 1080p smoothly at all and even made sure those Youtube movie trailers were fully buffered first.

  13. EIyxR says:

More on my Demo trial in my other post below:
    FUNCTIONALITY:
    - It’s Win7, same menu, same tiny static icons, same GUI; not made for multitouch.
    - Clicking (touching) X to exit out of programs and dialogs is thus frustrating, takes many tries.
    - Clicking (touching) on anything takes “precision”, though u might get used to it eventually.
    - As stated in the review, items take an excrutiating long time to load E.G.: Browser.
    - 5 finger touch ACER Wheel GUI is puzzlingly flimsy and lacking content.

  14. EIyxR says:

I played with a Demo at Futureshop when we headed down there to actually buy one:

    AESTHETICS:
    - Does not look sleek.
    - Feels plasticky.
    - Blue LED-lit Win7 logo button at the front is too bright.
    - Border seems rather thick.
    - Form factor not impressive.
    - If you’re right handed, you’re holding it with your left hand at the bottom left. At this location there are sensors that get set off and that will cause the tablet to automagically do all kinds of things you didn’t mean to.

I can’t believe I was actually considering buying this tablet… And here I was hoping that Acer actually made a good product…

Actually all tablets are under powered compare to the fastest PC. Just saying.

Do yourself a favor and look for other sources for info. You may be surprised to see this unit actually will serve you better than just an over priced gadget.
