Can pick this up at your local Costco warehouse for 0, or on Amazon for 0. It’s a fairly well-rounded netbook. The only downside is with its processor, but that goes for nearly all netbooks. I hear that Acer’s support is extremely poor. I am considering purchasing this laptop as a 14inch laptop is ideal for me, perfect for watching DVDs and downloaded TV series while remaining very portable with a reasonable spec. This is only a mid range laptop and has to be judged accordingly. In terms of price and spec the dell inspiron 14z is a competitor.
Like most in an ideal world neither would be my first choice but for spec and price this seem to be most competitive.

Q2. I have found that Acer provided a paper-clip-type poke hole for temporarily disconnecting the battery for hard reboots. Can it be done without opening the back cover?

theres a new aspire timelinex 4830tg-…..and i saw 750gb hdd compare to that but also same price ..how confusing…

Sounds like Windows 7 should go with hardware upgradable to 4 gigs of ram. Far as I can tell this unit maxes out with the 2 gigs it comes with and it has only one ram slot. Anyone know different? Anyone know if Acer has something similar that does allow for expanding the ram at a later date?
